Stephen Harris

Stephen is one of the Directors of Harris Paley Schone Solicitors, and has been practicing in criminal law for over 20 years. His cases have ranged from murder, possession of drugs with intent to supply, to anti-social behaviour orders and drink-drive matters. He performs his own advocacy in the magistrates’ court. He is qualified under the Duty Solicitor Scheme both for the court and police station.


Stephen Paley

Stephen is one of the Directors of Harris Paley Schone Solicitors, and has been practicing criminal law for 15 years. He has similar expertise to Stephen Harris, but has also acted in major fraud and rape cases. He performs his own advocacy in the magistrates’ court. In addition to this Stephen is a qualified Higher Courts Advocate and a member of the Duty Solicitor Scheme both for the court and police station.


Jeffrey Schone

Jeffrey is the third Director of the firm, with over 22 years of experience in criminal law. He has, like the other directors, acted in cases covering the full range of criminal law. In the past he had been instructed on murder and major drugs cases. Jeffrey carries out his own advocacy in both the magistrates’ court and the Crown Court. He is a qualified Higher Courts Advocate and a member of the Duty Solicitor Scheme both for the court and police station.


Brian Shaw

Brian has some 9 years’ experience of being a criminal solicitor. In that time he has acted in cases ranging from murder, armed robbery to drink-drive cases. He carries out his own advocacy in the magistrates’ court and the crown court, and is a qualified Higher Courts Advocate. He is also a member of the Duty Solicitor Scheme both for the court and police station.


Tim Sheriff

Tim has over 12 years of experience as a solicitor, during which time he has dealt with many major offences. He is a consultant with the firm and he attends both the police station and the magistrates’ court as a duty solicitor.
